I love the silent ride of the electrics, but this is the most awesome machine on the planet. The little gasoline engine steps into the drive train at the "jack axle" so you get 8 speeds on the engine. Take off with the gas on the right hand and the electric on the left, and nobody will be waiting on you! When you get to speed, let off the electric to save the batteries and cruise on gas. How much gas? Our tests consistently show 348 mpg and a distance of 40 miles or greater with only 12 to 15 AH batteries! Get to a hill, push the left electric thumb throttle, and push over inclines without even slowing down! Can be added to any longer trike for $600 for the 1.6 hp Subaru 4-stroke or $800 for the 2.5 hp Honda 4-stroke. Both are super clean, high tech engines!
