Discovery Channel Airing

It looks like we'll take off a day early on this Friday, Nov. 16th on the 1,000 mile trip to Amarillo. We'll be sending video tape to Discovery Channel and local Amarillo TV news everyday for them to give daily updates as we progress across the country. Other local and regional news will be available as we go from Nashville to Memphis to Little Rock to Oklahoma City and finally Amarillo. Today has been an exciting day! We got a phone call from The Discovery channel saying that the segment on 'Daily Planet' will air in 13 countries tonight at 6:00 P.M. C.S.T.! Two of the countries are Canada and Mexico. By law we can't publish the pass code to gain entrance to play the show in the U.S. but, as I understand it, the show will return to the U.S. in early 08!

The folks from the Discovery Channel made landfall in the big city of Erin, TN in July. They were great to work with and Erin rolled out the red carpet as expected. They bragged on the little car all day long as we shot the segment for their show; from it's agility, to take-off speed, to it's top speed,...even on how I pushed it back on to the road and took off again after crashing into a ditch! [my stupidity} They clocked me at 42mph with a radar gun, but I was on a slight downhill grade. Their big thrill came after hours of chasing me down wild winding roads. I simply handed them the keys and said "You really won't get it 'till you drive it!" They did and THEY DID! Their enthusiasm meant the world to me.
I called today to see when the show might air. They believe it will be in the new line up in the fall, September to be exact, but that's not a date and time so keep up with this web site or go to the 'ask us a question' page and sign in for automatic updates to be sent to you.
